My first attempt at a puzzle game. For such a simple idea, I was surprised I couldn't find any games that had done it before.

I kept it simple for the game jam but there's a lot of ways this could be expanded: non-square levels, more shapes, addition as well as subtraction (e.g. some cells could start at negative values), etc.

The hard part with designing puzzle games is always the difficulty curve. After many hours of testing the mechanics, it becomes hard to imagine a fresh player's experience. I tried to design levels while I was still exploring the mechanics myself, in the hope that the two journeys are similar enough to produce a smooth-ish difficulty curve. The puzzles were certainly fun to design. I hope they're just as fun to solve! Let me know in the comments :)
